Mirdif is a classic family suburb zone featuring a huge shopping mall called Mirdif City Centre, which is in fact the centre of the Dubai nightlife too in the district. Besides its open only till 22.00H so if you by any chance stay or live in the Mirdif zone, you may want to travel a little if you are hungry for jumping into the hot nightlife of Dubai.
Mirdif is a nice district specifically planned and built to serve as a family zone. Therefore, Mirdif is one of the few districts where there is no disco nearby. As the district is also not rich in hotels, its tourism traffic is quite low, so no one is disturbed by the fact that the best Dubai nightlife sites cannot be found here. Besides Mirdif is quite close to a couple of regions where there are many discos, bars, and takes less than a quarter to get there. One example for this is the Garhoud district of Deira next to the Dubai Creek, which is the perfect place for enjoying the great Dubai nightlife. Over the last decade Garhoud somehow has become specialised in Irish pubs and has several extra famous clubs in its area, especially Garhoud’s Aviation club is extremely famous for its Irish Pub. Also, because of the closeness of both the Creek and the Dubai International Airport the district has several hotels all of them hosting one or two great bars or even discos. The Irish Village within the Aviation Club is by far the most popular place not only in Garhoud but in Dubai too. It is very famous for its great atmosphere and it is the hub of flight crew parties too many of which are regulars of the Aviation Club.
Other great places of Mirdif include the Warehouse disco in the Le Meridien Hotel which is said to be the best elegant disco of the area, the West Side Lounge in the Dubai Terminal Hotel together with the Wings bar, perfect for passengers on hold, the QD’s has the best location with a perfect view to the waters of the Creek and the Dubliners which is also in the Le Meridien Hotel. Apart from this, there are many more Irish themed pubs all around Garhoud. If you are looking for some elegant places of Dubai nightlife in here, try the Sapphire Lounge, which is famous for its cocktails, located in the Century Village just by the Dubai Creek. Do not miss the UK pub called Biggles, which has great aviation themed interiors. The hotels, which have the biggest offers of nightclubs in Garhoud, include the Le Meridien Hotel and the Millennium hotel, not to mention the airport hotels.
If you have a car, the Bur Dubai districts Oud Metha and Karama are not too far either. Here there are many chances for seeing a great, buzzing nightlife. Although Dubai nightlife is not the best in Mirdif, it is a great area to live there and thanks to the many roads of Dubai, transportation by car is a quick and easy method to go out anywhere. If you feel that you will drink then you should get a taxi of which there are always many in the shopping mall.
