The Rihab Rotana is an apartment hotel which is primarily for those who cannot or do not want to spend more than a couple of days in Dubai and they want to spend their time visiting the city primarily. The Rihab Rotana Hotel is a nice and friendly hotel, among the smaller category of Rotana’s normal size.
The Rihab Rotana Hotel has a good setting. It is just minutes away from the Deira City Centre. The hotel is located in the border of Al Garhoud and Al Rigga. The latter is famous for its busy life on the streets and the high number of Indian run shops and cheap restaurants, which are great for city travellers. The Dubai Creek is also not far from the Rihab Rotana Hotel. In addition, Rihab Rotana is just some minutes away from the Dubai International Airport, which makes it ideal for transit passengers. If you take the Metro from the Deira City Centre, go to the Union Square from where the busy Arabic style souks are the best reachable on foot. This is the cheapest way of transportation in Dubai. Metro is also the best way to go to the opposite lying Bur Dubai, which is famous for its historical sites. You must take off at the Khalid bin Al Waleed Metro Stop. For this reason, the Rihab Rotana is perfect for those whose primary target is not only the beach. The World Trade Centre of Dubai is also not far especially if you take the Metro and this way you can really visit the whole downtown of Dubai the most effortlessly.
The Rihab Rotana Hotel has two types of rooms: the Classic Studio twin bed, which is 33 square meters large and the Classic Suite King, or Twin beds, which is a bigger apartment of 60 square meters containing separate living room area. Rooms also contain iron with board, washer and dryer as well with complimentary washing powder. It is an interesting fact that the hotel guides do not inform guests on the Rihab Rotana being an apartment hotel. There is a fully equipped kitchenette with microwave too; but if you want to eat out, there are several ways to do so, especially because of the closeness of the Deira City Centre and the Al Rigga district. The hotels own Café and restaurant is called Moka Café and it serves nice quality breakfast for the guests on request and for an extra, unless the room price is otherwise specified.
Talking about the other service, the Rihab Rotana Hotel has a giant swimming pool with a nice terrace. Unfortunately, there are not separate swimming pools for children and toddlers. Next to the pool, there is a well-equipped gym. The Hotel offers shuttle service to the Mercato Shopping Mall and the hotel has a nice business centre with four meeting rooms that are finely equipped with all the modern meeting tools required by professionals. Thanks to the closeness of the airport, from here, the neighbouring beach paradise Sharjah is only 25 kms away. Internet is available for an extra.
Some advices:
There is a mosque right next to the Rihab Rotana Hotel. If you do not want to hear the Adan around 4 am, let the staff know to book you to the other side of the hotel.
The Rihab Rotana does not serve alcohol, so if you definitely need it, buy some in the duty free shop of the airport or you can find alcoholic drinks in the Churchill’s Pub within Deira City Centre.
If you need a taxi to the airport, call the airport taxi and do not let the hotel call it for you, as those are double as expensive. Always check if the taxis you get into have meters or not.
